I have been neglecting the blog a bit these days so have ALOT to catch up on with the BLWeaning!
We have been trying to have at least breakfast and lunch together. Breakfast usually consists of porridge with either banana or stewed apple, or toast with marmite or humous, or just plain sticks of fruit, usually banana and apple.
I'm now trying to make sure we eat the same thing as she looks over sometimes if i'm having cereal and she's only got a slippery banana, with a face that says "hey, how come i haven't got that?" *stretches out arm to try grab my spoon*

So, Porridge and stewed apple...

By "stewed" i mean, peeled, chopped and put into a pan with a little water while the porridge is on. Not nearly enough time for it to stew! Tomorrow i'm going to do the apple first thing, then make the porridge once its done. I might even make a batch and freeze it in ice cube trays so i can just plop one in her porrdge when its hot and it will cool down the porridge quicker too! I did buy some baby porridge out of curiosity but we've just stuck to traditional purely oats and milk porridge. Can't say i'm a massive fan of baby gloop!

SO... Lunch times.
If we havent had toast at breakfast then there's a good chance she'll get it for lunch! Usually with humous, marmite, mashed banana... Today we're having pitta breads with ham and rocket, i might sneak a bit of mayo in mine without her looking! I really want to make falafel balls with a recipe i've found, i might even do it today and if they're nice i'll put the recipe on here!

If we've been going out for breakfast/lunch/dinner then she's usually much more happy if she gets to join in. We went for breakfast a couple of sundays ago down St. Ouens and she was quite happy gnawing on a bit of my ciabatta bread. We were out for a family meal at an indian on Saturday and she was quite grumpy, being passed around while we had our poppadoms but once she sat down and was handed a piece of naan bread she was quite happy to sit with us and munch on! (all this helped by her naan being dipped into some mango chutney at one point too!)
I must point out though, she isn't actually eating much. It was only today in one of her poos that i actually noticed much difference! The mantra is though, Food For Fun Until They're One!
